LEAKED: NVIDIA's RTX 4080 SUPER Promises Unprecedented Speeds in the GPU Race"
In a recent update in the world of graphics technology, NVIDIA’s upcoming GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series is making headlines with its advanced features. The highlight of this series is the RTX 4080 SUPER, equipped with the fastest GDDR6X memory clocked at an impressive 23 Gbps. This cutting-edge memory solution positions the 4080 SUPER as a formidable contender in the high-end GPU market.
The RTX 4080 SUPER is set to utilize the AD103-400 GPU, boasting an extensive 10,240 cores, 320 TMUs, 112 ROPs, and a significant 64 MB of L2 cache. It’s expected to outperform its predecessor, the RTX 4080 Non-SUPER, by a margin of 3-5% in standard settings, potentially reaching up to 10% in custom models. This modest performance increment is accompanied by a 16 GB GDDR6X memory and a 320W Total Graphics Power (TGP), mirroring the Non-SUPER variant but with a faster memory speed.
As for pricing, while NVIDIA hasn’t finalized the figures, a competitive rate around $1000-$1100 would position the 4080 SUPER as an attractive option against AMD’s Radeon RX 7900 XTX.
Shifting focus to the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and 4070 SUPER, these models also promise significant performance boosts. The 4070 Ti SUPER is expected to feature a 15% increase in performance over its Non-SUPER variant, while the 4070 SUPER aims for a 14% improvement. Both cards also come with upgraded memory and power specs.
Interestingly, NVIDIA has seemingly shelved plans for a RTX 4090 SUPER due to regulatory constraints. The existing RTX 4090, with its 24 GB GDDR6X memory and 450W TGP, continues to be the top-tier option in NVIDIA’s lineup. Priced at around $1599, the RTX 4090 remains the unrivaled king in terms of raw power and performance.
With the introduction of the 4080 SUPER, an intriguing question arises: Will the 4090 maintain its dominance in the market, especially considering its higher price point? The answer hinges on whether the marginal performance gains of the 4080 SUPER can justify its cost for consumers, especially when compared to the more powerful, albeit pricier, RTX 4090. As the release date nears, enthusiasts and professionals alike are keenly watching to see how these two powerhouses will stack up against each other.
