Binance blocking privacy coins in European countries
Cryptocurrency exchange Binance is set to remove 12 privacy coins
including Monero, Zcash, and Dash from its platform in France, Italy,
Poland, and Spain effective June 26. Privacy coins, which use
technologies to conceal transaction details, have raised money
laundering concerns within the European Union, leading to potential new
regulations. The European Banking Authority warned crypto companies to
be aware of customers using such coins. Binance stated the delisting is
part of its compliance with local laws and regulations, but assured that
withdrawals of these coins will remain open in these countries.
